Laying Besides Air

Laying besides air
I see you that are not there
and I know it’s not because you don’t care,
it’s just that you can’t be everywhere.

And it’s so quiet and still
I try to make you appear by an act of my will,
but, I know that other side will be empty until
you’re strength returns and your place you can fill.

Laying besides air
doesn’t keep your knight from trying to care,
he just wants to love you in this life that doesn’t seem fair,
he loves you in all his travels here and there.

He waits desperately in both shadows and sun
because he knows for himself that you’re the only one,
and this is one battle of the heart that can only be won
with your love and the love of God’s only Son.
