Layers

If you peel away the layers, do you think you would know what you would see.
I have put myself under the microscope many times, that it's no stranger to me.
Your observations keep me curious because of the things your bound to learn.
Yet this is who I am and what I've been through along life's twists and turns.
It may be a nervous smile and that quiet look at different times I have tried to hide.
You will notice this as you get to know me, even as my carefree way let you inside.
We've all been through life's trials and tribulations, thats what makes us who we are.
It is how we rebound from these situations to look beyond the clouds and to the stars.
My eyes are constantly alert for negativity, which sometimes lurks around.
I would rather face it right away and force it's hand, than give it a chance to bring me down.
I'm not that complicated to figure out, I know what brings me down and what makes me
smile.
Though you may not see it right away you will figure it out, it just takes a little while.

Very nice write, that read a bit like an introduction to who you are. Excellent wording, easy to relate and true. Thanks for sharing. Caroline.

I like this...it is so true about so many of us! We are like people in a masquerade hiding behind our masks!
