Lavender

I love the smell of lavender, Honey on my lips and fingertips, Cool breeze of sunshine and guiltless nights, Happy day of gratitude and life. I am a lavender petal in my living room, In a house of small and large wrong things, I am right by my own standard I seek nothing less than happiness And my tea is steeping calm, And my day is finally gone, But my night is all along too short, ‘Til my tea is done Thanks for listening today and letting me stay, Thanks for the words of wisdom and spite, Thanks for the spectacular fight, oh so spectacular. And oh so tea, and calming lavender breeze by my nose, calm sight of string on tea I am so thrilled to be with thee

I love that scent too, Jessica, but even more the joy I sensed in this comforting poem. Thank you for sharing it with us. Love, Carolyn
