Congratulations! This one made me laugh -not sure if it was meant to stir that emotion though. Anyway, I’ve tried a humorous ku before, but not as successfully as you. Oh, and the little person inset the lava picture would have been more impressive next to the fish ;-) —MDJ

Yeah it’s a bit tongue in cheek MD, but it definitely needed the photos for illustration purposes, that lava dome picture was taken off the coast of Hawaii 50 years ago, I believe it was about 70 ft high, one can only imagine the amount of fried fish lol, I have written a few of these with a little wry natural humour before, check out my (tsunami sickness) one, cheers David

Thank you Anne-Lise, I wasn’t sure that this one would go down as credible, so I’m absolutely delighted with Tania’s placement, cheers David

Heya Tania, I’m sure not too many think about fish being fried by lava, leave it to me lol, but the reality is it happens on very very rare occasions, thank you so much for the placement, I’m delighted cheers David

I had to change the name to lava, just spotted the title must be in the haiku for contest!

This guy is fried and smoked, all in about 2 seconds, now that’s what I call fast food, you’re right Jenna my mind simmers then explodes with great fury, and I will strike down with —, oh you get the pulp fiction idea lol, cheers David
