Lately

Oh, I need your comfort I am still in need of you by my side I don’t want to get hurt I’m going through so much inside Lately… Lately…. Lately….. You left me behind pretty much How I still long for your touch Believe that there’s a life beyond this one Let’s run this race till it’s...all...done… Till the pain...is...gone… Lately, I have been down and about You left me hanging without a doubt You stand there and don’t do a thing I wish you treated me like your everything Lately, I have been having it pretty rough Life, in general, can be quite tough You understand a little, but you don’t at the same time L.A. was my home, but now Lake Havasu is my prime Oh, I need your passion I am still in need of your compassion I don’t want to see you hurt It kills me inside that I am not your comfort Lately… Lately…. Lately….. You left me behind pretty much How I still long for your touch Believe that there’s a life beyond this one Let’s run this race till it’s...all...done… Till the pain...is...gone… Lately, I have been down and about You left me hanging without a doubt You stand there and don’t do a thing I wish you treated me like your everything Lately, I have been having it pretty rough Life, in general, can be quite tough You understand a little, but you don’t at the same time L.A. was my home, but now Lake Havasu is my prime I need your gravity-free love To lift me higher than above, my dove I don’t want to get rid of the happiness I feel I do want our sadness to disappear and for us to heal Because, lately, we’ve been in this hardship It’s awfully tearing us apart inside and out We ought to try and try again to get a grip Find the roots of hope beyond the doubt I want our gladness to heal away our scars of the past I want our sadness to disappear and make our joy last Lately, it’s been gloomy as hell outside… Lately, I’d rather be left alone inside..
