Notes About The Poem

This form is basically an etheree, except I've placed the one syllable word after the 5 syllable word.

Late February 2025

steel skies blinding sun Georgia’s Winter praising arms of oaks bare hopeful for buds, for Spring will soon appear; daffodils will break the earth; proclamation all things are new, again, renewed; rain mixed with thunder and lightning; grace puddles

Thank you, Gershon! Though I constantly put lotion on my hands, they hurt. Can’t wait for the magic touch of Spring healing. I understand why older people move out of the cold. LOL! And I’m not even in Chicago!

Lovely, creative poem, Kim. Here in north Mississippi, we've had days on end of brutal cold (lows in the teens, highs in the twenties). I'm ready for those daffodils! Janice
