Late April Scene

It is near end of April
looking out on the fells
around the Lakeland countryside
the beauty fills one with yells

The tips of the hills
are clearly coloured white
amazing to see this
as our eyes shows this sight

For this is indeed
wonderful to behold
not to be expected
in this scene so cold

But spring will surely come
to burst through this landscape
bringing in light and colour
powerfully moulding it's shape

I like the way this describes the yearning for spring after so many months of cold. I feel this way every year.
