Last Request

Have You Ever Seen a Last Request?
It Would Make Your Blood Run Cold.
There Are a Few That Have Seen It,
but They Are the Brave and the Bold.

I Am Talking about Our Young Soldiers,
Sent out to Fight the War
but Viewing of the Last Request,
Burrows Right down to Your Very Core.

It Says, "Please Tell My Family
I Was Honorable and Brave to the End,
I Did the Best I Thought I Could....
Please Write it All in the Letter You Send.

He Can No Longer Say a Word,
the Request Is in His Eyes.
So It's up to You to Tell What He Gave,
 as the Request Slowly Flickers.....
 And Dies.
