Last Night I Dreamt of You

Last night I dreamt of you,
I was sleeping and I could feel you whispering,
Putting your arms around me,
Telling me to go to sleep,
Telling me you loved me.

Last night I dreamt of you,
The music was playing and I had you in my arms,
Your head on my shoulder,
Your tears against my cheek,
You holding on to me tight.

Last night I dreamt of you,
We where walking down the beach holding hands;
Laughing about our day,
Discussing the drama and me ranting away.

Last night I dreamt of us.
How it was meant to be.
My best friend and my lover,
Close beside me smiling at me and brushing your hair from your face.
Grabbing my waist as you laughed and throwing your hair back.
Last night I dreamt of us,
And my heart broke all over again.

I’l always remember us this way.
