Last Minute

everything suddenly changed
in that last minute that passed
i never saw it coming
it all happened so fast
never knew it would be so painful
impact as sharp as a knife
you were in the wrong
yet it cost me my life
so here i am gone
as you go about your day
trust that your day is coming
and there'll be a price to pay
this all happened because of you
you left me here to die
you saw what you did
but strolled right on by
so i watched from above
while my body lay on the ground
but the sight is so blurry
and i vaguely hear a sound
everyone tries to help out
but i'm lifeless now
and though you left me here
i forgive you somehow
everything suddenly changed
in that last moment that passed
i never saw it coming
it all happened so fast
