Last Leap

Built by need
Desires kept deep
I gave my soul
In my last leap

Just a hollow tunnel
Thoughts went to sleep
Blocking any heartache
In my last leap

Emptiness consumes me
Memories no longer I keep
Rejected beyond words
In my last leap

Slain by stupidity
By a mountain so steep
I will die in the desert
In my last leap

Cast me into eternity
I have sewn all I can reap
Happiness once more rejects me
In my last leap

Teresa - This poem flowed and rhymed well I loved the way each stanza ended with common lines - I want you to know that after our greatest tribulations will come our greatest triumphs - Stay strong and better days will follow - Blessings always

Dear Teresa, whatever you are going through, hang in there for it shall soon pass. There is a brighter tomorrow, please believe. We are all feeling you, as so many of us have been there. With love, Shar

I am in the habbit of always writing about god. When I got saved all want to do is pray to god with letters of poems or just words. After that I got a pet and that completed it,I got it as a baby so it could grow with me.
