Last Exit of Lost Souls
Last Exit of Lost Souls
The sharpest of blades cut the flesh
It spurts and gushes forth, the red elixir of life
Goodbye my Wife
Last exit of a lost soul
Sleeping pills and alcohol consumed with haste
Is it enough to slip away and never wake?
Goodbye my Son, I am sorry I lost my fight, the darkness finally won
Last exit of a lost soul
The rope is sturdy and strong
The noose tightens around the neck
One last leap and the column of life snaps
Goodbye my Daughter I lost my battle and this was the only way out of which I never had a doubt
Last exit of a lost soul
The long hose connects the pipe
In through the window make sure it’s sealed tight
On starts the engine and fumes fill my vehicular tomb
Breath long, breathe deep, soon, very soon, the longest and painless sleep
Goodbye my friends, take care of my dearest don’t think of me as cowardly.
I fought the silent fight for years and knew from within that it would end in a river of tears
Last exit of a lost soul
They are not to blame, society should hold their collective heads in shame
Where is the understanding, support and guidance treated all too readily as a stigma?
We are sick, lost and dark and not an enigma
Help us, understand that we are not alone and can find the light
Reassure us that you will stand by our side, face the darkness and fight the good fight
We are lost souls who need not take our own life
But wait until our time is naturally right
Happy, loved, content, never having to be surrounded by darkness too tired and weary to lament
