Last Chance

Last Chance

A second chance,
  At romance.
I gave you time,
  And still you lied.
I swear I tried,
But my heart lost its life.
I began to cry,
  Every day and night.
I thought you knew,
But in the end my heart got screwed.
I’m sorry is what you would say,
Just for me to hear it every other day.
If I had known it was a game,
I swear I would have never played.
Now you want me back,
I’m sorry but I cant give you that.
This is not the end,
  We can still be friends.
But as for romance,
  There is no third chance.

Very powerful thoughts you have penned so well in this write of betrayal. Autumn
