Lass

The gray of river rock
holds me from the water
flowing coolly over me pale feet
blue jeans are dry except for the edges
where water has splashed up
trying to touch me soft skin
small hands prop me up
behind me they feel coarse rock
i pull at the white tank top covering me
wishing for cooler weather
me arms are covered by a pink and black hoodie
surprisingly giving me gentile skin protection
from the bright warm sun
blue, green, yellow eyes stare out at the green expanse
mossy colored water of the creek rushing
i let me fingers slide into the water for a touch
seeing the silver flash of fish in the sun
painted nails gleam pink
curls roll over my shoulders
red and gold shimmering in the sun
watching my greatest love
nature
i laugh at the animals
glad that at the moment i dont feel a fight coming on
which normally remains in my Irish veins
i sigh
Happy that I'm balanced with a french half
and enjoy the nature around
and the bright sun shinning down
