Lap Up the Wonder
And sometimes I wonder
I wonder through the midnight lullabies
And short simple messages
I wonder through paralysed fingers
Typing a goodnight
And though curtains call to be drawn
And dusty roads beckon to be tread
In warm summer mornings
Following the sleepless nights
I wonder
Where would I be without the precious few -
The precious few that give me a lap
For a cushion to rest my tired eyes?
