Languishing

Languishing in a pitiful place
Extinguishing feelings from my face
Why bother feeling the hurt and pain?
I curse my tears with utter disdain

Languishing at a pitiful pace
Extinguishing laughter from my face
Why bother laughing to numb the pain?
Let me just sit here under the rain

Languishing in this meaningless maze
Extinguishing purpose from my face
Why bother living this life of pain?
Should I end it with a final refrain?
