Landscape Designer

LANDSCAPE    DESIGNER

Though it often seems asleep
Countryside  life is all on the  move
Stop to watch a hunting  hedgehog                                  
Or follow a beautiful ridgewalk
Can I  the landscape improve
And its natural beauty keep?

Start designing it all over again?
Wishing for castles in Spain.
I’m wanting to  enrich stock  -
Me,  a  barn-helper with his pitchfork. 
I’m no designer,   just a swain
What can I add to this  terrain?

Carolyn Devonshire December 4, 2010 at 11:37 AM We may add flowers and trees to the landscape, but in most cases we can't really improve on the natural design. Do you work on a farm, Syd? I always thought I'd enjoy that because of my love for the outdoors. As for the castles in Spain, we have a right to dream! Enjoyed this very much. Love, Carolyn
