Land of the Free

Welcome to the land of spies
And hypocritical lies
Where dreams
Fall apart at the seams
Welcome to the land of the fake
Where the rich and greedy take
Where celebrities have all the fame
And never have shame
Welcome to the land of creeps
Where children weep
Where all innocence is taken away
Never to see the light of day
Welcome to the land of lies
Where people die
Where there are always tears
Where people are lonely and filled with fear
Welcome to the land of the wicked
Where everything is twisted
Dreams blend with reality
But being polite is just a formality
Welcome to the land of the free
But is that what we could actually be?
