Lulled by the lazy lagoon
Memories carved at the beach
Fated familial platoon
Lulled by the lazy lagoon
     Gator snatched the toddler of June
     Dad could not transcend the breach

It is such a poignant write. Such a sad week for Orlando, so many things we all relate to. Poetry helps to let the feelings out. My granddaughters were around that lagoon this past year.
