Lake of Tears

for all that tears sooth, my breath takes wing toward my opal lake,
newly created from each salty droplet, still singing, while
wishing you to be a leaf floating upon my silent joy.

                                Theme: Temple of Life
                              Contest: Sijo In A Temple
                                         5/8/2014

**Please note: there is more than one meaning to the word
"sooth", meaning "truth" and "real" and a lot
different than "soothe"** Also, for many interesting factoids, look
up the history of the "Opal"** Many of my writings will have a historical
treasure hunt embedded within the meaning(s) of special words.

Your Sijo is also beautiful, Lisa. For me this is one of the lighter and more delicate images I've seen. You're still a winner by conjuring this beauty. :)
