Laid To Rest

Defining moments when it doesn't feel like you're you
You make a choice because there's nothing else you can do
At the time, it seems the best of the bad solutions
In your head comes all this thought pollution
Did you do the right thing?
Must take care of myself,
Respect me as a human being
Never would want to impose
Or think that you're easy to dispose
It's the wrong tick
Object your finger flicks
Then you wonder
What happens next
No one will be the best
If you couldn't be
This friendship was laid to rest
