Lady In the Spring

She walks amidst
   the yellow flowers
             her green eyes
reflect sunshine
      Her hair is blown by
a
  gentle
           breeze
    she takes joy
in the trees
        which stand tall
like guardians of the
   land
Walking in forest and
         field
Breathing in delight with every breath
          Her beauty blends
in with the flora of
  this land
 She moves with grace
Her feet step lightly
  until she reaches
the lake
where she drinks deeply
      of the healing
waters of her homeland
she becomes whole - at one with
the season, at one
with gorgeous flowers
   leaving barren reason
behind
        this river - daughter
knows peace
        and the cares of
yesterday
        dissolve as a cloudburst
        sends down
sweet rain
                washing her body,
renewing the land
