Lady In My Future

She stares longingly into the future While she sits atop shifting sands, Reminding me of an unlikely venture Time enjoys in many far-away lands. She, present in wonder-clad glory, Will soon slip silently away in a story But I shall tip the hourglass over to see What will become of her in our history.

How delicate you write this "Will soon slip silently away in a story" - the imagery entices me toward a new poem.

Go for it, Caren. I'd be delighted any time you use one of my images. That would be quite a compliment.
