Ladies Listen
We travel through life hoping for all things at once
We search in our own way
For that Knight-in-Shining-Armor to appear
Hoping he will take our heart
And give it a place
Filled with cheer.
We lay awake some nights
Recapturing our once
Childhood dreams.
We go back thur time maybe too often
Or tho it seems
Remembering all the mistakes we made
Reliving the scenes.
We grow older and experience
Different things
And knowning the importance
We try to escape unpleasant men.
We search through our bodies
Sometimes testing our brains
When all of this is done in vain
When all the time the anwers are
Real simple.
We learn to second guess
Things of which sometimes
We don't understand
We try to solve all the missing links.
As we try to figure out these men.
What we have to realize
Is the mystery of it all
Is what provides the avenue of love
An avenue we have no control of.
So ladies close your eyes
And reach out your hand
Someone may be standing close by
Waiting to be your man.
And if it be not
And mistaken you are
Feel no less of a women
For a loser you will not be.
You knew how to love
And soften your heart
Something every women
Wish they could do.
Once you have learned
Love is a test
But not a test
To the one you love
It is a test only to you.
Then you may feel
Something silently and softly
Touching your hand
Don't run in fear
And don't try to see all at once.
Stand in silence for awhile
Feel the smile from the touch
You will feel if it is right
Or you will feel
If it is wrong.
You won't have to question
And neither will you have to know
Your heart is the pilot
While you are out of control.
