Ladder To the Sky
?It was a winter morning and still was a little dark...
I just woke up from my drowse, hearing my dog's bark...
Down in my backyard as I saw, all there was smog...
In the center lay a big hole, as if dug by some mighty groundhog...
It was a ladder that was rooted, in the depths of my land...
And the thunders up the sky felt like a metal band...
The ladder was some inclined, like the hour hand of seven...
It stretched beyond the clouds as if it were the route to heaven...
I thought that my time had come, to climb the stairs up the sky...
My mind showed me the faces, whom I will make cry...
I could not move my feet, for a moment I felt it was broken...
That thing got me bowled over, and now I am awoken...
It was a sleep in my sleep, I had that quiver in my breath...
Maybe I have just felt, what's the edge of death...
