L Is For Love

L is for love





Mother's sweet smile
and I opened my eyes,
As she pulled me close 
the warmth bestowed,
Her lips on my cheek
an aura of mystique,
It was L for love !

Dad held me tight
when heard my muffled cry,
Embraced in his heat,
I could feel his beats,
As affection overrode,
L for love flowed !

Little weeps and joys
were treated in poise,
Finger that I held
at every stage excelled,
No song unsung
as I have now grown young,
It is L for love !

Cherish the memories
and all the reveries,
Love who can weigh 
It's as naïveté,
A poignant emotion
L for love is devotion !
