L Is For Love
A little girl of nine
Who was cute and kind
Asked her dear mother
Why do they say love is blind
She sat down to explain this force unknown
The greatest emotion man has ever known
She began love is a beautiful song
She said love is an emotion bond
Something deep down inside
A yearning we just cannot hide
It affects people in different ways
Some might have a smile for days
Love may make their hearts beat faster
You might feel butterflies or feel laughter
Love is like a strong attraction
Love is free, love is passion
Love can be strong, love can be weak
Love is obedient, but love is unique
Love can make you happy
Love can make you sad
Love can make you say goodbye
Make you say things you never had
It’s like a mutual happiness
One only dreams of or reminisce
Going through thick or thin
Never mind the mess you’re in
Sticking together no matter what
Whatever situation you’ve got
Love will pull you in, then it will push you away
You may want to leave at times
But love will beg you to stay
Love is a chemistry, a hunger, a thirst
And there’s not a thing you can rehearse
But you’ll know instantly when love hits you
For love is blind comes out of the blue
You’ll have no control over this feeling
But inside your heart will be reeling
Because true love comes from the heart
It’s a special something you’ll want to impart
That’s why they say love is blind
You don't feel love coming to your side
But it's the greatest emotion ever to be
A gracious gift from God to me
