Kyia's Song
Many messages from Heaven
are hard for me to understand
How one moment I held you close
the next you slipped out of my hands
Forgive me if I cry and grieve
now that you’ve been taken away
But my arms ache just to hold you
and I will miss you every day
Though it was only a moment
you flashed your smile upon this world
But in that time, you took my heart
and filled it up with love and joy
You’ll live in my mind forever
though your years here with me were few
‘Cause there’s a million things each day
who’s beauty reminds me of you
You’re the early morning sunrise
that fills the sky with brilliant light
The sparkle of a billion stars
dancing o’er the prairie at night
The moon that lights up the pathway
through all my dark and gloomy hours
And in the songs that each bird sings
and the beauty in each flower
In the soft breeze that cools my face
and dances out across the plain
Or the gentle rolling thunder
and the soft patter of the rain
Though time with you was a blessing
I will still bow my head and pray
To never leave your side again
when we meet in Heaven someday
