Kitchen Band

     Whoosh! Swish! Clang!
It's the six o'clock kitchen band!
Whoosh of paper towels off the roll.
Swish as broom threads brush the floor.
Clang as pots put on to boil!

     Clackety! Clackety! Clack!
     Spoons, forks, and knives,
Start their chorus to the task.
     Drawers rattle open,
     Serving spoons appear,
     Tapping gently on crystal clear.

     Clap flap! Clap flap!
     First a plate,
     Then a napkin.
     Silverware enters.
     Then at last,
     Scrapping of plates,
Signals the end of a repast!
