Kiss the Rain

Kiss The Rain
                                     My Son
Kiss the rain and feel the
warmth wash all your sins away.

                  Hush lil darling, Mama's coming
home to take all your pain away,
the morning light will be shining
                    bright right before your eyes.

I will rock you under the autumn
tree while the rustling of the trees
shimmer like crystals on the leaves.

'Till we kiss the rain all
            over again,And take cover 'till
our day begins in the morning light

Brilliant. I would see this as a lyric poem. the music in it is wonderful. At first I was turned off by the use of 'lil', but it fits the narrative beautifully. The imagination that went into this cannot be exaggerated. It is a truly wonderfull and life enhancing poem.
