Kiss of Death

Death lives here with us
It calls out to
those who
come to visit
An unwanted consequence
of accidents

Death is not loud
It whispers softly
There is
no need to shout
Finality is deafening

Death does not take sides
It is neither
Good nor bad
Happy or sad

It is all around
watching
waiting
for a single kiss

Your hearts are overflowing onto your paper and makes such amazing reading. Thank you for sharing your writing with us Kimberly. Love, Carol
