Kindness

Compliments keep up our self-respect,
something most of us tend to neglect.
We as people need to hear a kind word,
or our peace becomes disturbed.
 Everyone needs a little edification,
to help us thru a difficult situation.
We shouldn't always issue out judgment,
but open our hearts and give a compliment.
Never to build up around us fortresses of ice,
but ever listening to & giving good advice.
We don't need to be high on education,
just show a lil' respect and consideration.
Not to be quick to criticize,
yet humbling ourselves to apologize.
You see, from what I've come to comprehend,
is doing these things makes us truly a friend.
It's all about not being mindless,
but about giving & receiving kindness.
So in closing I say only this,
the bond of friendship you don't want to miss.
