Kind of Preparation

When you are sick, you stay inside
But right beyond your door,
The earth continues spinning
Like it’s always done before.

The world’s events don’t take a pause
Because you’re not included
And thinking that your absence matters
Means you’re just deluded.

It’s kind of preparation,
As you hide away in bed,
For the way that life will carry on
Someday when you are dead.

Trump’s absence matters. I miss him.

I never thought of it quite that way, but it certainly does apply. Thanks you, Ilene. Hope you are feeling better and completely well by the time I get back home from vacation.

I suppose we all like to think we're important but in the end we're just a grain of sand and life will just carry on without us when our time is up hopefully not too soon lol. Tom
