Kids
Kids
There is children on our street
Living without heat
Cold and lonely child
Maybe a little wild
But still one of our own
What has he been shown
He knows he's cold
He doesn't matter he's told
What's this saying to our youth
This is the truth
We walk bye
We don't see them cry
Looking for a safe place
A warm smiling face
A word so kind
Is hard for them to find
Give onto them your heart
Help them find where to start
To build a new way
Help them find a place to stay
Don't walk away
They don't want much
Just a loving touch
A kind word
Should be heard
A warm hand
Tell them you understand
Guide them to the light
Join in my fight
We are the ones
We must protect our sons
It's only right
Give them some light
Be the big brother
Maybe the mother
Reach out to the ones in need
This I plead
