Kicking Back

I need to kick back
and head to the beach
this nine to five life
is really getting to me
work for five and then off two
people pulling on me
and too much to do

what I wouldn’t give for
some time in the sun
surf rolling in, no deadlines to be done
lay on the beach, let my skin tan
sleep at night under that old ceiling fan

that house by the sea just
keeps on calling me
Mexico is close, but
not as close as it could be
