kefalonia dreaming

all the bins were out
skies had turned to charcoal grey
as I grabbed my coat

walking in the rain
my mind on fiscardo bay
where its warm and dry

couldn't help dreaming
of hot grecian sun in may
on recycling day

Yes, to recycle to another climate like recycling items that could be thrown away is a great comparison. Some days in the heat of summer I would like to go where it is a much cooler climate. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

Great string of haiku Martin my favourite Greek Island, we always stay in Skala, we usually hire a car put in a Greek cd and we're away. Tom

Yes the Greek islands are fabulous Tom. Love the food, people, scenery, music etc. Kefalonia & Ithica are firm favourites. We are long overdue a return.

Recycling is a good thing to do. Like this poem and the way it connects the enjoyment of beauty with care for the environment.
