Keeping Golden Slips and Pops Safe
Neon the elf child was the last one to be trusted with the dragon’s light
her soul was sad that others had failed, she wandered into the night.
holding the gift of golden slips and pops, her ears feeling quite bright.
Rafe, her dragon guardian hiding in the bushes, kept her within his sight.
a rustle in the woods brought the dragon’s attention to the fray.
he wondered if he was going to have to spring, and perhaps slay.
it was a brownie and a faerie, they offered to aide her on her way.
he settled down and watched them, wary, this dragon keeper gray.
weird brownie was full of jokes, the dragon noted they were kind of bad.
But Neon the elf child was no longer alone, for this he felt quite glad.
sweet faerie offered to help keep the gift of gold slips and pops safe.
dragon began to relax, he was feeling content, Neon's dragon, Rafe.
