Keeping God-search simple
The Line of Inquiry
Of the fact we are alive, we are sure
All else scriptures say, may or may not be
So presence vibrant, heart pure and demure
As formless awareness we become free
Keeping God-search simple
I sit by a stream that sparkles in winter's coldest breath
Counting stars millions of ancient fires in black silk
My own breath falters thin as a soul lost in space
Gasping like the breathless I once watched die
Then it hits of the fact we are alive we are sure
This rise and fall of chest needs no verse to prove it
All else scriptures say may or may not be
But cold air on skin starlight in eyes this is true
Each inhale a gift each exhale a prayer
Senses bloom the stream's hymn winter's bite
All borrowed all blessing nothing is mine yet all is given
Those stars watched eons before my first heartbeat
Still I am not small God placed a mirror in me
Consciousness the lamp by which I see
So presence vibrant heart pure and demure
I bow to no fear need no walls
Metaphysics whispers I am not body not thought
I am the witness behind both the quiet I Am
As formless awareness we become free
In that space worry has no chains grief no weight
No book mapped this for me
The universe itself is the verse
My quintessence to live to know to thank
If God invited one He invited all
Humanity read your own existence
You are the message the meaning the proof
