Keep Your Words Sweet Because You Might Have to Eat Them

A Tongue — once loosed — may wander far —
Beyond the Meadow’s gate —
It whispers first — like Clover’s breath —
Then strikes — a cruel Fate —

The Echo knows — what Lips forget —
The Air — remembers all —
And Bitterness — a tardy Guest —
Returns — to one’s own Hall —

So taste thy Thought — before it flies —
Make gentle what you speak —
For Words — once sown — like Seeds — arise —
And bloom — upon the Cheek —

Yours words are a sweet read for me tonight. A lot of insight here. Love that ending stanza, it's a lesson learned
