Keep Trying (Edited Version)

Oh Lord I’ve cried for so long
The fears of being alone
The emptiness that lingers on 
King from above show me happiness show me love

Never knowing which way to turn
Questions I keep asking myself
There is so much confusion in my mind
Advice my friends keep giving

God in heaven hear my plea, help me help me
Looking up to the sky with unanswered questions
Hoping I see an answer
I keep trying praying to you only I can hear it

Sacrifices taken in stride while I hold my 
breath and pretend not to cry
Keep trying is ringing in my ear
Keep trying never give up

Look into the mirror and deep into your eyes
Look hard and sharp 
do you know the person you see
Or is there a stranger staring back

Life can be cruel, life can be kind
You’ve got to shape yourself into what you feel is right
Believe in who you are, know what you want
Become what you believe in 

The motivation in your heart has to be strong and true
The tears will come and go and your fears
Will become your strength surviving day by day
With what you learn on the way

Tomorrow will come and go
All your hopes and dreams
The sky will once again shine
A spirit flying free

Sing with laughter in your heart
Have faith in yourself and the Lord above
The path you seek is closer than you think
Keep trying, never give up never stop believing
