Kansas Scarecrow

My mood is dark, sultry As passion plays my mind. The summer storm is blowing in So, I respond in kind. Passions seek an outlet No walls can it contain. Catching the breeze upon her lips She calls her lover’s name. The winter winds return. A chill is in the air. The Kansas Scarecrow laughs in glee And hasn’t got a care. Her heart, ripped and tattered, She curls up in a ball. Seeking the warmth of fire She tries to sort it all.

Really nice flow to this one Allison. It reads like a song. Beautifully done. I like the imagery it creates in the mind.
