Kaleidoscope of Sound

Colors of the spectrum Light up my world Bright rays dancing Shades enhancing The kaleidoscope of sound I can feel it all around A whisper on the wind The murmur of the stream Rustling of leaves Creaking of the eaves Roaring of the waves Cooing of a babe Birds a chirping Bees a buzzing Thunder rumbling Mountain crumbling Ringing honking Beeping thumping Crashing clanging Booming bopping Intermingling all together In every season, scene or weather And it echoes in my head As I lie on heather beds Such a masterful symphony Sweetest ever melody, All the world´s life in harmony.

Hey SKAT! Ok, first, can I just ask what that stands for?! Second, thank you soooo much for that warm welcome, definitely didn't expect being so appreciated right off the bat! I will definitely be checking out your and others' poems. If you have any recommendations as to where to begin, I'd be very grateful. So far, I love it here! It's exactly what I was hoping to find when looking somewhere to publish my poems.

My blog is still under construction, I'm not the most skilled at HTML and all, so I'm having trouble getting things the way I see them in my head. So I guess I will be posting poems here before putting them up on my blog, actually, LOL. Thanks soo much for reading, so glad you enjoyed it!

Your poem has a nicely structured rhyme scheme that flows quite smoothly. A refreshing piece for first entry to the soup. You seem to have a gift for gab.

Hi Debbie, so glad you liked it, I was scared of posting it at first 'cause I wasn't sure if anyone else would like the flow of the words, and it seems everything I write ends up having a similar structure, guess it's my style, however unintended!

Hi Linda, thank you so much for your kind review, this was the first poem I wrote when I really started writing, and not just as an assignment in high school. I'll keep on posting my poems here, but you can also find them on my blog, [email protected]
