Kaleidoscope Butterfly and Timmy

Kaleidoscope Butterfly granted Timmy’s wish for he is gallant and true.
But asking for himself is something this young lad did not do.
He asked if his mother’s house could be paid off, the deed in her hand.
Butterfly granted the wish, and then sprinkled marigolds on their land.

Summers she ventures back, to flit from lovely orange to yellow flower.
Timmy’s mother was so appreciative, she built a butterfly home tower.
Monarchs and Luna moths learned of this courtesy and thanked K.B.
Do not thank me, she tells them. The credit goes to young Timmy.

He grew up and took a wife and they lived in the home with his mother.
Soon had a family with three sisters and a darling newborn brother.
All of these children learned to revere and love the garden’s butterflies.
May God strike me down if this tale contains any obvious lies.

Kaleidoscope Butterfly told this story as if it was a legend but in fact.
If you don’t believe me you may talk to the owner of the original pact.
Tis true says Grandpa Timmy. I was that boy that sweet summer day.
It's why we pay tribute to butterflies in every loving, empathetic way.

Others might capture them, put them in jars, dry them out and pin them.
But in our family, we take feed them oranges, and take care of their kin.
They have been the kindest most loving creatures in our lives, for sure.
Butterflies are selfless, beautiful and completely and utterly pure.
