Kai Aku

Keeling upon the open sea A moving mountain majesty, is colossal water’s slow roll ~ To stars, I pray for land to stroll … As confused waves begin to toss, keeping sane where vertigo’s boss, under fear's fold, it’s Neptune’s call… To depths, I pray to end this gall ~ Kraken-wind unfurls mighty arms as sails heave-to, trying to calm It steers while we wait our bell’s toll ~ To steel, I pray strength doesn’t pall… As tentacles release their hold, knaves of blue-bottles float by, bold! Unto such vast numbers, don’t fall ~ To sun, I pray for land to stroll… (9/9/2022)

Hadn't known of Kai Aku... Thank you for the introductory education, Susan... Rough stuff... Not coincidentally, they say that even experienced sailors (and pilots) yearn to feel terra firma under them after arduous journeys. Here's to equilibrium, Gershon
