Justice To the Heart

His words are few and fumbled, but don’t mistake their care.
Shallow sounds can’t match the sacred stirrings of the soul.
Justice to the heart is complex craft beyond compare.

A dream he dared not wish for; e’en to empty air.
Surely, she was meant for him, though her love’s beyond control.
His words are few and fumbled, but don’t mistake their care.

Is he strong enough to chase, knowing there could be a snare?
To be the fool found wanting is a rather thankless role.
Justice to the heart is complex craft beyond compare.

What could he choose to speak of, when caught by her soft stare?
Her eyes the seas of everything, the siren takes her toll.
His words are few and fumbled, but don’t mistake their care.

How perfect should the pairing be for bindings not to tear?
Or like magnets will they draw – him to her; pole to pole?
Justice to the heart is complex craft beyond compare.

Questions there will always be, while there are maidens fair.
But he cannot ignore the draw of one who’d make him whole.
His words are few and fumbled, but don’t mistake their care.
Justice to the heart is complex craft beyond compare.

Thank you! Really liked your "They Visit Now". Reminded me of the song "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" (I first heard it from The Brothers Four)
