Just Words

JUST WORDS

They were just words afterall. We probaly waste hundreds with one telephone call.
But what if they were the last that we share?
If I knew that then I'd have seleted with care.
It seems You could use almost any You liked. Say just what you want, with no threat of a fight.
Since you could just dismiss me.Like you were MY boss.
Since you would never NEED me..then I am not a loss.

They were afterall just words...the kind that sting..the kind that burn.
As your past behavior shows...you've still so much to learn...

There are so many levels of illness...and true health so hard to find.
The calming of a soul...the easing of a mind.

Just words is all they were...so quickly...off your tounge
but how my body hurts and now my minds been left here numb.

Hi Robert, words hurt, especially when badly rolled off the tongue from the ones we love. It was in the heat of the moment,... well expressed...Linda
