Just Walk Through

The pathway stretches out ahead
Walking through sometimes up sometimes down
I wipe the sweat from my brow
Sometimes a cool breeze to refresh

Then a glimpse of what might have been
But regret does not fill my soul
No parades for me
Even when a good deed is done
Just walk on through.
