Just Sitting Here

I'm sitting here writing
all the things I want to say.
Hoping that I'll be brave enough
to tell you them someday.

I'm sitting here thinking
of exactly how I feel.
You won't seem to care,
but to me it's a big deal.

I'm sitting here wishing
and hoping for some sign.
Something telling me
that you do want to be mine.

I'm sitting here stalling
afraid of what could be.
Yearning for the day
you and I become we.

I'm sitting here falling.
Into the pit of no return.
Knowing that when I cave,
I will be the one to burn.
