Just Passin By
I was studying for an exam on the bus
When I ran into an old friend.
He held the grave appearance of a homeless man and tried to hide from my familiar glare
and when it hit me who I was looking at,
It pained me to see him in such bad shape.
We use to kick it at the park and play house in pre-school
And that is when I saw that he no longer looked pained by his appearance
But happy and content.
When asked he started sing, he sang
“Here’s my secret when I am feeling down I take a look around and I see that I am passing
by and so I hold on change is coming"
He then told me that he is just passing through this homeless stage
And god wouldn't put more on him than he can bare.
So yeah I done been through it all shoot outs and fist fights
And climbed those squeaky stairs but as long as I hold on I know that my troubles are just
passing by and so I am going to hold on like my life depends on it and that I don't have a
choice
