Just One Touch
Just one touch
Just one touch,
I heard you whisper.
And though smooth,..your voice had edges,
Some were sharp and tinged with malice,
And some were blunt and whispering comfort.
It had prickly fangs that tasted like poison,
That sent my body rattling with fear,
But it was warm like an electric blanket…. covering my cold fear.
Just a touch
Or so you said,
But like a chameleon; I saw you change,
The feather light touch, turned and became,
An iron grip that held me down.
The love in it I scarcely felt,
The music was drowned, in my haunting screams ,
But the tears wouldn’t come; coz I shooed them away,
Even when like a dam they threatened to spill
Just one touch
No longer safe,
The wall of trust forever gone,
Your rotten breathe my nose to remember,
In all eternity as you stole what was mine,
With just one touch my dreams all gone,
With just one touch my world replaced..
With just one touch
You stole from me,
The greatest thing that never could be bought,
My peace of mind, my sense of trust, my everything,
With just one touch I felt it, heard it,
With every pore and every breath,
As it shattered like zillion breaking glasses,
(…sob…) with just one touch…
